This is a great article on why mediators should not give parties advice. I agree fully with this article and all of the reasons. Mediation is not a place for people to be told what someone else thinks they should do, it is a place they should be supported to figure out for themselves what they should do. If they need someone to tell them what to do, the Court is ready to assist!
